The Scottish Centre for Comics Studies is currently at work on Pandemic Tales: Responses to Covid-19 and Lockdown, and we will be publishing excerpts online in the coming weeks. Our first comic comes from Anj Snape and Divya Jindal-Snape, with art by Ashling Larkin. Divya says:
COVID-19 has triggered multiple and multi-dimensional transitions for everyone. Written by Anj Snape and Divya Jindal-Snape, the comic, ‘Lost, and found, in transitions’ tells the story of the transitions of a girl triggered due to the abrupt school closure and cancellation of exams. It outlines how normative and expected transitions were disrupted by COVID-19, triggering academic, social and psychological transitions. The story, and Ashling Larkin’s artwork, highlights the positive and negative transition experiences, and strategies used by this girl (and her family) as she adapts to the changes over time.
